Addicted: Bruschetta
Prior to moving to Italy, I enjoyed bruschetta (pronounced in American English: brushetta) from my local Italian restaurant, but never did I think that I would become addicted. Since being in Rome, not only have I learned to pronounce the word correctly (brusketta), but I have also become totally addicted. This addiction has led me to learning how to make this simple yet delicious treat at home.
Ingredients
fresh bread
olive oil
baby cherry tomatoes
a fresh garlic clove
a little grated parmesan
sea salt, to taste, but not necessary
Cut the baby tomatoes in half and add a little olive oil and a pinch of salt. Peel the garlic clove and slice off the tip.
Step 1: Put olive oil on both sides of the bread and toast it in a pan on the stove.
Step 2: Rub garlic on the top side of the hot bread, then top with tomatoes.
Step 3: Add a little parmesan and serve (or eat)!
