While in LA last week I mentioned that I needed some small bottles for my liquids to my friend and fellow traveler Elton and he immediately said we had to go to Flight 001, which is his favorite travel store. I went with the intention of just grabbing some plastic bottles, but I fell in love with the store and bought way more than I needed and also did a Periscope broadcast.
The store, which is in West Hollywood, has a retro feel that some how feels modern. Flight 001 is full of everything that you would need for packing, from passport holders to carry-on bags to their travel essential knickknacks. I did not know where to start so I just grabbed everything that I wanted and whittled it down from there.
One of the sales associated convinced me that the Seat Pak was a great purchase and Elton closed the deal. This pouch that has four pockets allows you to put your key items for your flight in one place. I put my phone, charger, credit cards, business cards, cash, passport, ticket, pen, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitizer and in-flight moisturizing spray inside and still had room. I could slip it easily in and out of my backpack and put everything else above my head. I also like that you can hang it on the tray table for easy access to all of your things.
The second item I had to have was their award winning 4-in-1 Universal Travel Adapter. I am actually annoyed that I had not heard of it until now. This compact gift from heaven means that you have all the adapters you need for more than 150 countries. Gone are the days of me searching for a Euro to US or British to Euro, now they are all in one place. If you travel to many different countries this is absolutely a must have item.
Flight 001 will remain a staple for me when I need to items for travel. Have you ever been to Flight 001? What is your favorite item from the store?
