My Bucket List
People tell me all of the time that I have been everywhere and I always reply I feel like I haven’t been anywhere. I have been to 51 countries and 33 states. The world is a huge place and I’ve only seen 20% of it. My wanderlust has definitely gotten the best of me and I am on a lifelong mission to see as much of this world as humanly possible before I’m 50. At 50 and beyond I will spend the rest of my years visiting my favorites. A quick google search tells me that there are 196 countries in the world. This number varies widely given the number of disputed territories in the world, but if we accept the 196 that means to reach 196 countries by the age of 50 I would need to travel to 7.6 new countries every year. Totally doable, I think.

As a person who has been to a lot of places people often ask me what else do you want to see? My response is always, “I want to see EVERYTHING and go EVERYWHERE,” but I am now trying to distill that into a more concrete list. Below is the beginning of my bucket list. I’ve never sat down to do this, but here it is, in no particular order. Keep in mind I am not a very adventurous person so there will be no jumping out of planes or swimming with sharks!

Back to Jamaica is always on the list! Ever since I heard jazz group Incognito song “Marrakech”, I’ve wanted to go there. Definitely would like to hit up some part of Africa.
