In Seminyak? Dash to Dash Hotel

On what was to be a two and a half week trip in Bali, I had not put together a schedule prior to my arrival to this mystical island. My days and movements were dictated by suggestions of friends and the wind blowing me in the right direction. Following my visits to Ubud and Nusa Dua, I went to Seminyak to meet a friend that had been staying there. After scrolling through what seemed to be endless pages of hotels.com, I stumbled upon Dash hotel. At $59 per night, including breakfast, Dash was the perfect hotel for this solo traveler.

Located one minute’s walk from the uber famous Potato Head Club, Dash Hotel is in the perfect location. There are tons of beach clubs, amazing restaurants and shopping within walking distance of the hotel.

From the welcome drink of a frozen mint lemonade to the well appointed rooms, Dash Hotel is modern, clean and comfortable.

The hotel has five floors and 139 rooms.

The details of the room are charming. Each bed has a little phrase like “kiss more” and on the ceiling of each room their is a quote, mine said “In a sea of people my eyes always search 4 u.” The upside down red bunny is their mascot and can be found all around the hotel from the pool to the robes to welcoming you on your bed when you arrive.

The breakfast, which is unlimited includes smoothies, French pressed coffee, Indonesian pancakes, fresh pressed juices, and most deliciously the best bread pudding I have ever had in my life.

Dash Hotel will likely work as a base as you explore Seminyak and Canggu, but for the lazy amongst us, Dash is the perfect place to unwind. They have a pool on the first floor, which is a standard hotel pool, but ten times more beautiful.

Then, if the sunlight is not enough on the ground floor, you can make your way to the fifth floor where you will find the highly rated “The Shack” where you can order food and drink while relaxing on a beautiful rooftop. Perfect for sunrise, the rooftop at Dash Hotel is not to be missed. The strong wifi signal helps you to keep up with work and the small pool helps keep you cool under the blazing Indonesian sun.

Dash Hotel isn’t just great for solo travelers, it is also a great option for a honeymoon. The staff will pull out all of the stops to ensure a smooth transition into marital bliss.
