Hotwire: Foolproof Hotel Deals
It is very rare that I stay in hotels, because fortunately, everywhere I go in the world I know someone whose floor or couch I can crash on. But when I do have to stay at a hotel I do want the best accommodations possible (oh and in a decent price range). My faithful hotel finding sidekick is Hotwire. I have never been disappointed when using this site. The one thing that helps to prevent my disappointment is that I only stick to four star hotels and above. Its not because I’m super picky, its because I don’t like poor accomodations and when using Hotwire, you don’t find out the name of your hotel until after you purchase the room. The way they keep their prices low, is by not advertising the name of the hotel. So if you want to stay in a specific hotel, then this site is not for you, but if you know the specific area you want to stay in, in the city that you are visiting then put in the city name, click four stars and check out your inexpensive options.
Not convinced? I have paid as low as $65 per night for at the Westin in Southfield, MI, a room that is advertised on their site as $189 per night.
