Global Birthdays

I’ve been back from Puerto Rico for a couple days, and I’ve been unwinding from my vacation by laying in bed all day, so I guess I should get back on my blogging grind. Its so hard to take time out of vacation to blog but I’m going to work on that since it seems that my life is a vacation, at least right now it is.

My trip to Puerto Rico is something that had been in the works for almost one year. For the last couple of years I have been dead set on not spending my birthday in the states. In 2007 me and a couple of the girls headed to Cancun, Mexico. In 2008, I had Kobe beef in Kobe, Japan with Colin and Mike, two of my faves. And in 2009 me and a larger group headed to the beaches of Puerto Rico (yes, I know it is a US territory). While in the beginning, over 50 people claimed to be seriously interested, 19 people paid in full and 18 of us made the trip. One person had a family emergency and couldn’t join us.

I love traveling, which I’m sure you already know, and the thing I love just as much as traveling is event planning, so as soon as I finish this post, I’m going to start planning for next year’s trip to GREECE. Yes Greece people. You’ve got a year so that means get your passport and save your pennies, we’re taken this to the other side of the Atlantic.
